Made only in the best years, the 2015 Sangioveto sees longer skin-maceration times than others. This ultimately results in an ample and generous expression of this classic indigenous variety. The bouquet is not as pinpoint as the Chianti Classico Riserva from the 2016 vintage, yet that broad and rich quality is something we associate with this warm and sunny 2015 vintage. Here, you get sweeping aromas of black cherry, plum and mild spice, making it ideal for a pappardelle with a wild boar sauce. Production is 8,200 bottles.
