85/15% Eden/Barossa Valley, hand picked from vines aged 35–100 yo. Foot trod; wild fermented; matured in 20% new French oak barrels and puncheons. Medium, vibrant purple. Tangy, spicy mulberry, blackberry and black cherry fruits are accented with the exotic spice of old Barossa vines. Bright acidity and medium-grained tannins bring up a long finish, coaxed subtly by dark chocolate oak.
